Removing Acne Scars Fast And Naturally
|
Acne Scars usually come from severe cases of acne, and serve as additional insults to injuries – as if the pain and unsightliness caused by pimples and lesions weren’t enough, now you have a semi-permanent reminder in the form of acne scarring. The bad news is that removal of acne scars can be expensive, but the good news is that there are several methods.
The first method is called Laser Resurfacing, and involves the use of a laser to remove the scarred top skin layer while tightening the middle layer, which gives the skin a smoother look. The procedure can be painful but the surgeon will use local anesthesia to numb the problem area.
The next method is called Dermabrasion, which, as the name implies, uses an abrasive spinning diamond instrument or a rotating wire brush to wear down the scarred surface of the skin. When the skin heals itself, the replacement for the abraded skin will be smoother. This process is cheaper than laser resurfacing, but can be more painful and takes a lot longer to heal from.
The last and newest acne scar treatment surgery is called Fractional Laser Therapy, which is a more advanced version of laser resurfacing, with the benefit of not wounding or damaging the top tissue layer, which means the required time for the skin is significantly shorter. The downside is that Fractional Laser Therapy is VERY expensive, and not usually covered by insurance.
Worth noting is the fact that the acne should be under control before any of the above treatments is attempted.
